Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books (BOB) is a reading program designed to encourage children to read and recognize those who like to read. The program is open to students in fourth and fifth grade. Students compete in teams led by an adult facilitator, usually a parent of one of the team members. The participants read from a pre-selected list of 20 books. Written and oral "battles" between teams take place in April and May.

Game Club

In Game Club, students play board games with a teacher, peers and community service leaders. This club helps students learn social skills such as taking turns, sharing, communicating and practice good sportsmanship with peers and adults. The club is open to kindergarten through fifth grade students.

Math Wings

The purpose of our Math Wings after-school club is to provide an opportunity for all fourth and fifth grade students to learn important content and skills beyond what is provided in the classroom, and to promote the mindset that all children can learn math. Our focus is to enrich the learning for motivated, high-achieving math students and encourage all students to see that they, too, can be high-achieving math students.

Running Club

Running Club supports students by increasing their physical fitness levels, stamina, and social skills. It provides opportunities for students to meet and run with other students and teachers from different grade levels. Our Running Club goal is to develop healthy habits in our students and to show them how fun running and exercising with peers can be.
